In the heart of flood-hit Feni, where knee-deep water filled homes, a powerful story of courage and community unfolded.

23-year-old Kamrun Nahar, pregnant and in labor, was stranded with no way to reach the hospital. Her mother and aunt had no choice but to place her on a raft made of banana trees and set out through chest-deep floodwaters.

With no transport in sight near Fulgazi Bazaar, a local journalist quickly arranged a pickup truck. Thanks to his help and the efforts of selfless volunteers, Kamrun was rushed to Feni General Hospital—where she safely gave birth to a healthy baby girl.

This act of bravery, compassion, and urgency reminds us that even in the darkest floods, humanity floats above all.
